Combining solutions may be the best idea for an e-commerce business
Not all cases are the same and each one should be studied individually, but in many Pick To Light projects in e-commerce it is possible to use one solution for more than one process.
In the previous case (article link), Picking Carts were used as sorting walls in reverse logistics. After the process has been completed, they can be used for order picking.
Orders to the warehouse can be crossed with incoming goods from returns and then consolidated in a Put To Wall sorting wall.
As indicated in the header, the most successful projects are those where a complete global solution to needs is sought and not just a part of it. Therefore, it can be interesting to analyse other solutions that can offer improved traceability, order picking process, etc. (link solutions).
Each solution offers different returns and the right balance must be found in order to get a good return on investment.
